Type 201 Stainless Steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese stainless steel that has been fully annealed. It is nonmagnetic when it has been annealed. It can become slightly magnetic if it has been cold worked. Use with ISO BU255 buckles or ISO WS155 wings seals. Easily installs with the following tools: Cool Tool #T001, Ratchet Tensioner #T101, Self-Opening Spring Cutter #T502, Medium Band Cutter #T545, Insulation Tensioner #1902D, and Tensioning Tool #T1916.
- This banding is not suitable to make face masks with.
- Type 201 is the standard in banding and fastening for general applications. Type 201 won’t oxidize and is corrosion resistant except in the most demanding environments. Type 201 is harder and stronger than either Type 304 or 316 stainless steel.
- Each coil of band is stamped with a 4-digit code that can be traced back to the test certificate that verifies its authenticity and compliance with ASTM standards
- Great choice for attaching lightweight signs to metal poles, bundling cables, fastening insulation to pipes and much more. Use with ISO BU255 buckles or ISO WS155 wings seals.
